I'm interested in joining you next week, but I'm curious about the format, how many people show up, etc. Any info would be helpful. Thanks
The format for this meeting is very open, but we always find interesting things to talk about. We usually have about five people, he have had as many as eight, but this upcoming maybe short on people. Three of the regulars have mentioned that they have time conflicts with other things that night and that they might not make it, but I have received a couple of emails from others who might be interested in coming besides yourself, so we may have some new faces there.
The best short description I think I can give you about the group is that we are a group of misfit Christians, who have often been at odds with the churches we go to, and are wrestling with the disputes, conflicts, and chaos that result from it.
What's your story? Where do you go to church? And how did you come to find us?
Sounds interesting. I found a link to this site of Hackman's blog, which I came across wandering the Internet one day and have really enjoyed following. I've been on a incredible journey of discovering Christ the past several years, and the more my relationship with Him develops, the more I realize my beliefs are incompatible with the culture, if not many doctrines of my church. I'm a lifetime member of the LDS church, but I don't find much meaningful fellowship in Jesus in any church meetings, so I'm looking for somewhere I can be open about my beliefs and fellowship with others who are sincerely searching for a deeper relationship with God, rather that a deeper relationship with an organization.
My wife and I are hoping to attend the Cohort meeting this month.
